Seven Sons is a pasture-based farming operation located in Roanoke, IN. Our goal is to provide the peace of mind that comes from having a direct relationship with a farmer consumers can know and trust. Below you’ll find an overview of the character & competencies we’re looking for; but first, let’s paint a picture of what it’s like to work at Seven Sons.


Here's the deal. We're a young company with a small team looking for a responsible individual who wants to learn fast and is passionate about treating customers the same way they’d want to be treated. What we lack in investor money, expensive chairs and free coconut water - we make up for by being genuine and fun people.


Our belief is that work should make people better, not drain them of their energy. We recognize it's not sustainable, and we're in this for the long haul.

Job requirements

Responsibilities / what you’ll do (most of the time):

  • Manage high amounts of incoming inquiries from multiple mediums: phone, email, social media, etc.
  • Direct tickets or calls to the appropriate manager when necessary
  • Outbound engagement phone calls with customers at key points during the buying journey (first order followup, deep dive discovery calls, etc.)
  • Meet and maintain personal/team goals and benchmarks, (e.g. efficiency targets, customer satisfaction, first response time, etc.)
  • Continuously strive for opportunities that go the extra mile to surpass customer expectations, (e.g. respond to missed calls, courtesy emails, helpful resources, etc.)
  • Social media listening & engagement, (respond to comments, reviews, questions, etc.)
  • Online order management
  • Basic admin/bookkeeping duties
  • Restocking office supplies

NOTE: Customer support is the main priority and admin duties should be tackled strategically during “downtime.”

Qualifications & Character:

Must Haves:

  • Strong communication skills & a track record for being a friendly/bubbly person! :)
  • Ability to work in a highly motivated and collaborative team environment.
  • Alignment with our core company values.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for work performed, oversights, and areas of improvement.
  • Willingness to report to management.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Nice to haves:

  • Proficient computer technical skills (we love to utilize technology to make life easier).
  • Typing skills of at least 45 words/minute.
  • Completion of prerequisite training material.
  • High competence in Star Wars trivia.

Expected Hours:

  •  Hours: 32-40.
  • Typical Work Schedule:
  • Mon-Thur: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (½ hour lunch)

  • Sun: 1:00PM - 5:00PM

Compensation: 

  • Starting wage: $20 per hour
  • $167/mo. ($2000 per year) company food credit
  • Quarterly & weekly bonus plan
  • 10 days of paid time off
  • $50 bonus pay if worked the following holidays
